Fraud controls in local councils – Performance audit report

With the current levels of fraud and corruption, as well as the continuous pressure from the President to curtail fruitless, wasteful, irregular and unauthorised expenditure, emphasis is placed on the governance of municipalities, as well as the effectiveness of the combined assurance process.  Thus this example of a report on fraud controls within local councils is relevant in our current economic situation.
