PUBLIC SECTOR TRAINING
The goal of these training initiatives is aimed at improving the knowledge of both municipal and provincial officials to promote good financial governance and achieve sound financial management capacity which supports sustainable local government. The methods used for the training includes research, virtual and contact workshops, financial modelling, guidance documents, seminars and/or webinars, online courses, training manuals in collaboration with other stakeholders.
- Implement new and updated legislative requirements including regulations, related reforms, guiding documents and circulars issued by National and Provincial Treasuries and other stakeholders (Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA), South African Local Government Association (SALGA), etc.).
- Implement new and improved practices that are immediately available to improve the overall financial sustainability and governance arrangements.
- Respond to changes within the municipal environment that may affect municipal sustainability and/or financial governance.
- Assisting municipalities with innovative methods to deal with unforeseen circumstances.
