Day One focuses on the foundational principles of COBIT 2019. Participants explore its relevance to enterprise governance, the difference between governance and management components, and the alignment of IT goals with business objectives. Design factors such as risk appetite, regulatory environment, threat landscape, and enterprise strategy are introduced to personalize COBIT for diverse digital contexts.
Day Two centers on governance system design and implementation. Participants explore the six design principles and their application in building a fit-for-purpose governance system. The governance and management objectives are unpacked in depth, along with the enablers needed to support digital performance. Case studies demonstrate how organizations have used COBIT to improve cybersecurity, automate compliance, and achieve cloud transformation.
Day Three is dedicated to performance measurement, assurance, and executive-level integration. The COBIT performance management model and maturity levels are explored to assess gaps and optimize value delivery. Participants also examine how internal audit, board reporting, and IT steering committees can use COBIT to drive informed oversight. The day concludes with a strategy lab where attendees build a governance roadmap tailored to their organization.
